Digital transformation (DT) is saturating the internet with articles, blog posts, and podcasts. If this were Christmas, DT, and a COVID-19 vaccine would be on every businessperson’s wish list.

While I’ll be discussing concepts that apply to all business functions in this article, I’ve included some suggestions specifically about field service since they are often put to the bottom of improvement lists even though service teams:

  • Have more interactions with your customers than any other department.
  • Generate higher margins than product sales.
  • Have a robust growth rate while product sales are generally declining.
  • Generally have a higher percentage of total sales than product sales.
